Obituary: Brandon Dwight Barnett

Brandon Dwight Barnett, 46, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home. He was born July 14, 1977, in Newport, Arkansas to Dwight and Christine (Cain) Barnett. He was an automotive mechanic and previously attended the Cave City Church of God. Brandon enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his friends; and loved riding his four-wheeler. He also loved his 1969 GMC. Brandon loved to read the Bible to his mother; his favorite was Psalm 23.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Dorothy Barnett, and Rev. Edgar Cain; and one uncle, Steven Cain.

He is survived by his parents; his brother, David Clayton Barnett (Amy); his niece, Taylor May Barnett; his grandmother, Katherine Cain; his aunts, Norma “Jean Jean” Kelley, Carlean Lewis, Pauline Cain Sturch and Carla Cain Dickey; his uncles, Charles Barnett, Troyce Barnett, Keith Sturch, Phillip Dickey and Noel Lewis; his cousins, Bradley Dickey, Brian Dickey, Kayla Dickey Payton, Hannah Sturch Caldwell, Debbie Hightower Mason, Bobby Barnett, Tony Lewis, Tina Lewis, Kim Barnett Gibson, Payton Barnett and Holden Phillips; along with other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with John High officiating.

A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy King, Johnny King, Rodney Barnett, Kevin Girtman, Michael Brown, Raymond Finley, Rusty Jeffery, Robert King, Bill Dobbs, Mark Hastings, Marc Street and James Denman.
