Frances Ruth (Sturch) Razer of Bradford, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the age of 100. She was born August 17, 1923, at Grand Glaize, Arkansas, the daughter of Mack and Minnie (Stuart) Sturch.
Miss Frances Ruth Sturch married Mr. William Paul Razer on November 10, 1948, and together they enjoyed 53 years.
Mrs. Razer was a 1944 graduate of Bradford High School and had the lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. Her dream was realized when she earned her LPN License. Mrs. Razer was a caring nurse, who retired from Harris Hospital following 15 years of service.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and working on family genealogy. Mrs. Razer took great pride in making a home and growing flowers and potted plants.
She was a dedicated, lifelong member of Oakland Free Will Baptist Church. During her lifetime, she taught Sunday School and led singing. Mrs. Razer dedicated time daily to reading her Bible and studying the word of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Paul Razer; one son, Stephen Wayne Razer; one great-granddaughter, Sandria Gowen; four brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Ray, and Wilson Sturch; two sisters, Mabel McKee and Thelma Poole; and her parents.
Mrs. Razer is survived by one son, Bruce Razer and wife, Ann of Bradford; two daughters, Marsha Hamm and husband, Tim of Conway, and Ann Carrell and husband, Randall of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Susan Hamm Allen, Franklin Hamm, Justin Carrell, Jeremy Carrell, Michael Razer, and Kathy Razer; nine great-grandchildren, Chloie, Nadia, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Sarah, Zoe, Jason, Rebekah, and Julian; her sister-in-law, Betty Sturch of Bradford; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2024, at Oakland Free Will Baptist Church, with visitation before service, Friday, 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Oakland Hill Cemetery.
