Rick Crawford, the U.S. House of Representative for Arkansas’ 1st congressional district, visited Ozarka College on Wednesday.
The visit was a part of the Congressman’s routine engagement with the Ozarka administration to keep up-to-date with the college’s current and upcoming initiatives, Ozarka said in a media release.
During the visit, Rep. Crawford discussed his policy and legislation agenda supporting education and workforce training. He also offered additional support for Ozarka’s promising initiatives.
“We were pleased to have Congressman Crawford and his staff today at Ozarka,” said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. “We always appreciate the opportunity to showcase the exciting and innovative work being done here at the college and show our gratitude for the Congressman’s continued support for Ozarka.”
Ozarka presented Rep. Crawford with information on ongoing projects and extended appreciation for his support for multiple successful initiatives, including recent grant investments in Ozarka’s workforce training programs.
Other topics for the Congressman’s visit included Ozarka’s new technical center in Mountain View and advancing training offerings for regional technical trades. Officials also highlighted the new stand-alone Registered Nursing program in Melbourne and the growing demand for Ozarka’s aviation training.
