Baxter County authorities report the body of a 69-year-old Mountain Home man was discovered in the White River Monday afternoon.
Officials identified the man as Mark Selvocki. The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office told Mountain Home media outlet KTLO that Selvocki was last seen “standing, wading, or fishing” in the river near the Rainbow Resort.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, he was found unconscious in the water by some people in a boat.
The sheriff’s office and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission are conducting an investigation into Selvocki’s death, but no foul play is suspected. It’s not known if the death was accidental or a drowning.
