Sandra (Myers) Rhodes of Cave City, Arkansas, formerly of Indiana, departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born June 19, 1947, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of William Austin and Goldie (Sutton) Myers.
Mrs. Rhodes was a homemaker who took pleasure in quilting, crocheting, and playing games on her phone. She had an enormous heart and was selfless, giving even when she had nothing to give. She had a profound love for children and treated them all as if they were her own.
Mrs. Rhodes was a member of the Sulphur Rock Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Rhodes; one son, Donald Rhodes; sixteen brothers and sisters; and her parents.
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by one son, Michael Rhodes of Sulphur Rock; one brother, Robbie Myers of Evansville, Indiana; many nieces and nephews, who loved her deeply; and her friend and caregiver, Lillian.
Friends may visit Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home on Friday, April 5, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Rhodes, Chris Myers, Kenny Myers, William Myers, Bevin Marlin, Gordon Riley, Thurlow Riley, and Richard Gillean. Honorary pallbearers are Butch Myers and Terry Myers.
