The 2024 Red Hot Ladies Luncheon, held April 5 at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, raised a significant $20,000 for the White River Health Oncology Clinic & Infusion Center.

Citizens Bank, a major sponsor of the event, announced the donation amount.

“The proceeds will help ensure the clinic is a healing space with the staff, equipment, and technology to save lives,” the bank stated. “As cancer touches more lives in our community, it is vital that White River Health meets the needs of cancer patients and their families during their journeys. The expansion and renovation of White River Health Oncology is an opportunity to choose hope and create a comfortable, encouraging, and healing environment for patients and their families as they plan for a future of better health.

Representatives of the Red Hot Committee (including Joyce Prickett, Ashley Engles, Paula Terrell, Kay Southerland, Rhonda Woods, Glenda Bowers, Jane Vinson, Maggie Williams, and Michele Vanwinkle)  presented the clinic with the generous donation last week.

Members of White River Health and the White River Health Oncology Clinic & Infusion Center team, including Maggie Williams, Michele Vanwinkle, Gary Paxson, K. Raman Desikan, MD, Atif Khan, MD, Nicole Floyd, Annie Solis, and other staff members, were on hand for the presentation.
