Clifton Mark Fondren of the Gourdneck Community, departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of 68. He was born February 22, 1956, in Conway, Arkansas, the son of Clifton and Jessie Lou (Smith) Fondren.
Mr. Fondren was a 1974 graduate of Eudora High School, where he played football. He was a United States Navy veteran. During his time in the Navy, he trained as a Boiler Tech Operator. Following his time in the military, he continued working as a boiler operator for Hall Tank Company and UALR.
Mr. Fondren was an enthusiastic reader, particularly enjoying books on history. He was a kind-hearted and loving man who enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Fondren; and an infant sister, Sherry Lou Fondren.
Mr. Fondren is survived by his mother, Jessie Fondren of Summers, Arkansas; one brother, Randy Fondren and wife, Nancy, of Fayetteville, one sister, Kerry MIddlebrook and husband, Clay of Summers; his partner of over 20 years, Salli Kolb of Little Rock; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a lifetime of friends.
