Beverly A. (Thompkins) Keeney, 80, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at NEA Baptist Hospital of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Beverly was born December 3, 1943, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the daughter of Oliver Thompkins and Thelma (Cook) Deckelman. Her parents preceded her in death. Beverly married Jimmy V. Keeney on May 2, 1964, and they enjoyed 55 years before his passing on November 29, 2019. She was a homemaker of the Baptist Faith. Beverly enjoyed cooking, was always ready to go, and watched cooking shows. She enjoyed going to the casinos and loved playing slots. Beverly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grands. She is survived by 3 daughters: Lisa (Sam) Lawson of Jonesboro, Michelle Brietz of Harrisburg, and Miranda (Victor) Lorenzana also of Jonesboro, one sister, Barbara Loggains of Harrisburg, Grandchildren: Kayleigh (Kyle) Evans, Madilyn (Corey) Mavity, Drake Lanfair, and Meadow Jones, Great-Grands: Cohen Mavity, Corbin Mavity, Kenleigh, Evans, Kason Evans, Kieser Evans, Kallen Evans. Beverly was preceded in death by 3 Great-grands: Riley Tate, Remi Lynn, and Oaklee Gray. Visitation will be Thursday ~ May 16, 2024, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be Friday ~ May 17 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel with Bro. Rick Jensen conducting the service. These men will serve as Active pallbearers: Corey Mavity, Kyle Evans, Darryl Loggains, Gary Loggains, Josh Parker, and Bobby Tubbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Chism, Charles “Tiger” Brietz, Kason, Kieser, and Kallen Evans, and Cohen and Corbin Mavity. The interment will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas.
