Kathy L. (Wadley) Housh of Brookland, Arkansas, formerly of Newport, departed this life on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born May 27, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Neal Wadley and Wilma (Reid) Wadley.
On November 1, 1976, Miss Kathy Wadley married Mr. James Lowell Housh, Jr., and they enjoyed 30 years together.
Mrs. Housh obtained a Nursing degree from ASU Newport and dedicated 30 years to working as an RN in home health and assisted living facilities, specializing in memory care.
Mrs. Housh was an enthusiastic reader, always carrying a book with her. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, and especially loved baking with Chloe.
Mrs. Housh was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Lowell Housh, Jr.; one sister, Judy Ward; and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, James Micah Housh of Newport, and Bryan Joseph Housh of Newport; two daughters, Cynthia Woodard of Centerton, Arkansas, and Chassity Hall and husband, Matthew of Bono; seven grandchildren, Toby Williams, Jr., Hunter Davis and wife, Terran, Hannah Gilmore and husband, Rodney, Abby Hooper and husband, Jacob, Chloe Housh, Micah Jan Housh, and Audrey Lynn Housh; five great-grandchildren, Case and Georgia Mae Davis, Scarlette Gilmore, and Maggie and Jackson Hooper; and a lifetime of friends.
Friend may visit at the funeral home, Saturday, June 15, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Stranger’s Home Cemetery on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
