Shirley G. Tomlinson, 80, of Batesville passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.
She was born December 23, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona to Unis and Lillie (Parkerson) Parsons.
Shirley was a strong-willed woman of the Missionary Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking and worked as a cook at Judy and Ruth’s Country Café, the Senior Citizens Center, and Pats Café. She loved animals and liked to read mystery and thriller books, enjoyed listening to Elvis and Rod Stewart music, and loved watching classic TV shows.
Survivors include one son, Brian Tomlinson; three daughters, Janet Tomlinson, Victoria Smith (Cody), and Laura Tomlinson; one brother, Johnny Parsons (Katie); one sister, Linda Massey (Danny); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Tomlinson, and two sisters, Barbara Parsons, and Betty Fulcher.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
