Mountain Meadows Health and Rehabilitation residents enjoyed an Independence Day celebration Wednesday evening, thanks in part to volunteers, staff, and families.

Volunteers with Brothers Keeper Ministry came together with Mountain Meadows residents, staff, and their families to create a sense of community and celebrate the spirit of America, the organization said in a post on social media.

The celebration featured fun activities like cornhole and a special play area for kids to cool off. Residents enjoyed music, ice-cold watermelon, and a fireworks display at dusk.

The post noted that the event allowed residents and staff to catch up with loved ones and spread out blankets on the front lawn to enjoy fireworks.
