Glen P. Thomas, 72, of Newport passed from this life on July 28, 2024. He was born on April 17, 1952, in Battle Ax, Arkansas to James Robert and Emmer Opal Neal (Conditt) Thomas.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved riding the back roads and found joy in playing pool and dancing. His greatest love was his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His adventurous spirit and zest for life were contagious, and he was always up for a good time with loved ones. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will be cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Neal Thomas.
He is survived by his son, John Thomas (Jamie) of Judsonia; his daughter, Denna Rogers of Tuckerman; his sister, Joyce Ann Johnson of Illinois; his grandchildren, Brandon Bailey (Tristina), Kobie Thomas, Tyler Huskey, Kayle Lockhart, Rodney Lockhart, William Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Samuel Thomas, Lexi Thomas, Jayce Thomas, and Kaden Thomas and ten great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
