The North Arkansas Dance Theatre (NADT) has awarded its annual Patrick Crommett Memorial Scholarship to Kathryn Shaw (pictured above left, with NADT’s Cindy Hubberd), a high school senior and company soloist.
According to a release from the non-profit performing company, the scholarship honors Crommett, a co-founder of NADT, who is remembered as “a wonderful creative director, choreographer, teacher, and friend” of NADT.
“The annual scholarship is awarded to an outstanding high school senior who exemplifies Mr. Patrick’s determination and love for dance,” NADT said in the release.
Shaw, who also competes, teaches, and coaches at NADT, was selected for her hard work, determination, and passion for dance.
