Grubbs man dies after one-vehicle accident

A Jackson County man has died after a one-vehicle accident on Saturday, Aug. 3.

According to Arkansas State Police, 76-year-old William David West of Grubbs was driving his 2006 GMC Yukon west on State Highway 18 in rural Jackson County when the vehicle crossed the centerline and the eastbound traffic lane. The vehicle left the roadway multiple times before coming to rest in a field.

The incident occurred around 6:23 a.m. west of Grubbs. The weather was clear, and the road was dry at the time of the accident, according to the state police report.
