Anna Faye Cross, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Batesville, AR.

She was born on May 13, 1932, in Campbell County, Kentucky, to the late Charles Milligan Robinson and Catherine Ann (Stull) Robinson.

Anna knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she lived her life following the examples and teachings given by Jesus. Anna was steadfast, a calm and loving person in whom her family and friends found shelter, love, and wisdom. Quick to smile and slow to anger, Anna loved all who came into her life. She gave freely of herself without thought for return or reward. She cared for the sick, helped guide the lost, and adopted every stray animal that she found. Anna was a rare person, full of grace and mercy, making the world a better place because she pursued what she knew to be right and true. Her family and friends will miss her, but thank and praise the Lord for the blessing she was. The light that Anna shone so brightly will be carried on in the hearts of all those she touched.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Anna is survived by her sons, Bruce Allen Hamilton (Carol) of Batesville, AR, and  Michael John Hamilton (Laura) of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Lisa Ann Layton (Mark) of Batesville, AR; brother, Walter Lee Robinson (Sherry) of Hemet, CA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service held at First Baptist Church in Batesville on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 12 PM until 2 PM.
