Lisa Diane Franks, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Lisa, at 63, left this world on September 15, 2024, but the impact she made on those around her will remain forever etched in our hearts. Born in Batesville, Arkansas on November 16, 1960, to Claude Hershel and Ina Lucille Franks, Lisa grew up in a home filled with love, values, and strong Christian beliefs. She carried those lessons into her own family, raising her children with compassion, strength, and unwavering love. Anyone who knew Lisa knew how much she loved her family. She was always there to cheer on her beloved Razorbacks, especially alongside Colby, her companion in all things sports. Whether it was football, basketball, or any other game, Lisa’s energy was infectious. She lived for those moments, the joy of togetherness, and the thrill of supporting the team she loved. Lisa’s hands were never idle, always busy crocheting beautiful pieces that reflected the care and attention she put into every stitch. She found joy in creating, in pouring her heart into her work, just as she did with her family. She was also a master in the kitchen. Her cooking became a symbol of love, and her specialty dishes—lasagna, Mexican chicken, and Keegan’s green beans—will forever be remembered as staples of family gatherings. Those meals weren’t just food, but the love she served on a plate to her children, grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to sit at her table.

Though her heart was full of love, it also endured great loss. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, her son David Odom, her granddaughter Emma Kate, and her brother Sam Franks. Despite this pain, she remained resilient, strong, and hopeful—a testament to her remarkable character. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and spending time with them brought her endless joy. They will forever remember the laughter, warmth, and the love she wrapped around them, just as she did in her crocheted creations.

Lisa is survived by her son; Colby Hensley of Campble Station, daughter; Brandy Talley and husband Will of Newport, two brothers; Jack Franks of Tuckerman, Thomas Franks of Tuckerman, eight grandchildren: Abreanna Odom, Trinity Odom, Jeremy Odom Jr., Hayden Hensley, Keegans McComas, Addison Odom, Lillian Talley, and Ian Talley. The family would like to acknowledge Brandie Clevland (her special hospice nurse) for the excellent care she provided, and a special thank you to her son-in-law Will for all the secret ICE-EE and cups of ice.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 on Friday, September 20, at Hickory Grove Cemetery.   Visitation will be on Thursday, September 19, from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
