Sheila Gale Herekamp, 69, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Batesville, AR. She was born on June 29, 1955, in Marana, Arizona to the late Clarence Leon Boozer and Sally Jo (Aldridge) Boozer. Sheila was a cross-country truck driver with her husband and enjoyed seeing all the sights as they were driving. She enjoyed going to the lake, camping, and cooking. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandkids, often playing board games and cards with them. Sheila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
Sheila is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Donald Herekamp; son, Matthew Herekamp (Mande); grandchildren, Dylan Herekamp (Katie) and Sharisa Baker (Chase); great-granddaughter, Sadie Herekamp; brothers, Everett Boozer (Janice), Carlton Boozer (Beckie), and Tim Boozer (Judy); sister-in-law, Sandy Shockley (David); and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Boozer; and great-grandchild, Baker Herekamp.
A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 12 PM until 2 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Chad Graves, will begin at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Kyler Cemetery in Southside, AR. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shannon Boozer, Dylan Herekamp, Chase Baker, Brandon Boozer, Adam Boozer, and Brian Boozer. Honorary pallbearers are Jim McClurg and Bill Barker.
