Catholene (Simons) Reeve of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born June 20, 1932, in Newport, the daughter of Joe and Martha Ellis (Kirkpatrick) Simons.
Mrs. Reeve was a graduate of Newport High School. She worked as an Office Manager at different physicians’ offices over the years. Mrs. Reeve was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She was also active with Gideons International.
Mrs. Reeve was described by her family as a very smart lady. She enjoyed watching the History Channel and kept up with the news every day. Mrs. Reeve especially loved reading. Her greatest joy came from the memories she made while traveling with her husband.
Mrs. Reeve is preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Bill” Reeve; her brother, Gene Boone; two sisters, Tommie Brinsfield and Irene Evans; and her parents.
She is survived by her nephews and niece.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Walnut Grove Cemetery, with Bro. Jay Jacobs officiating.
