Obituary: John “Johnathan” Lynn Bridgeman

John “Johnathan” Lynn Bridgeman, 37, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Arkadelphia. He was born on August 10, 1987, in Newport, to the late Johnathan Bridgeman and Sandy Bridgeman.

John graduated from Newport High School and attended Arkansas State University for his undergraduate degree. John went on to earn his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

John was a cherished friend and a beloved figure in the lives of many. He is survived by his loving sister, Elizabeth Bridgeman who called him “Bubba,” and his mother Sandy Bridgeman. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnathan Bridgeman.

John was a man of many passions. He found joy in the thrill of NASCAR, the excitement of Formula One, and the camaraderie of UFC. His love for futbol (soccer) and baseball brought him closer to friends and family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and spirited debates. John also enjoyed the outdoors and the deep traditions that went along with hunting deer, waterfowl, and small game. John had many plans, one of which included driving his Jeep through the mountains in Moab, Utah.

An avid reader and gamer, John embraced the adventures that books and games provided, sharing these interests with those around him, especially with Samantha Roybal’s son, Ezra. Their bond was a testament to John’s kind and engaging spirit, leaving a lasting impact on Ezra’s life.

John loved his friends deeply, engaging in lively conversations and embarking on trips with the boys, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

As an attorney, John was dedicated to his work, and his professionalism was matched only by his compassion for others. His warmth, laughter, and adventurous spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

As we remember John, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and hold onto the memories we shared.
