Brian Craig Lancaster of Grubbs, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the age of 53. He was born December 23, 1970, in Tampa, Florida, the son of Virgil Ray and Sally (Skaggs) Lancaster.
Brian was a 1989 graduate of Grubbs High School. He married the love of his life, Miss Holly Felts, on September 1, 1998, and together they built a beautiful life and raised their two sons. He spent his life working hard as a farmer and contractor. He, along with his family, owned and operated Lancaster Dirt Works. Brian was a devoted member of Ballew’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Brian was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden. He loved playing poker with his friends on Monday and Tuesday evenings. If you had the good fortune of knowing Brian, you knew he was a professional storyteller who could weave a good tale that would leave you laughing. Above all, Brian loved his family. He was a proud Dad and PopPop.
Brian was survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Holly (Felts) Lancaster, of the home; his sons, Andrew Lancaster and wife, Morgan, of Weldon and Adam Lancaster of Grubbs; two grandchildren, Harlow and Judd Lancaster; a sister, Cheryl Lancaster; his parents, Virgil Ray and Sally Lancaster, of Grubbs; and a lifetime of family and friends.
Friends may visit at Jackson’s Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Andy Haskins officiating. Interment will follow in Ballew’s Chapel Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Justin Best, Marty Cartwright, Johnny Mason, Brett Walker, Mike Allen, and Heath Jobe.
In lieu of flowers, the Lancaster Family is asking that memorials be made to Ballew’s Chapel Cemetery at 170 Jackson 221, Newport, Arkansas 72112 or the Jackson County Humane Society at P.O. Box 154, Newport, Arkansas 72112.
