Martha Francisco (pictured above, right, with Citizens Bank’s Community Engagement Officer Ashley Engles on the left), a food service employee at the Batesville School District, was named Monday to receive the December “Citizens Bank Above & Beyond Award.”
In a release, Citizens Bank said Francisco is a positive presence, trustworthy teammate, and is beloved within the food service department and beyond
Her peers said:
- “Martha has consistently been a solid employee. She has stepped up and become someone that we heavily rely on. She never says “No,” and she jumps in and does whatever needs to be done.”
- “Martha is loved by her fellow staff, teachers, students, and administrators! She always has a kind word and a smile for everyone. She is a true caregiver!”
- “Martha strives to build team morale, is not afraid to tackle tasks outside of the kitchen, and does not shy away from working after hours for special events and catering.”
Since 2012, Citizens Bank and the Batesville School District have recognized staff members who go “above and beyond” to realize the district’s mission to empower today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges. Staff in all schools and departments throughout the district nominate award recipients, who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Batesville School Board meeting each month.
