Jacque Lynn Jones, 70, of Newport, passed from this life on January 4, 2025. She was born in Newport on July 11, 1954, to Juanita (Sharp) Goodman.
Jacque was a compassionate and nurturing person with a love for animals, which was evident in her devotion to her beloved pets. She had a unique knack for collecting whatnots and cherished the memories tied to each item she found. Jacque was a skilled cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her loved ones, creating delicious dishes that brought her family and friends together. In her downtime, she loved watching movies, and finding relaxation and joy in cinematic stories.
Jacque was more than a mother; she was a cherished sister, aunt, friend, and devoted fur mom whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Goodman, her sister, Jean Lucas; her niece, Teri Kesler; and her beloved dog, Crickett.
Jacque is survived by her daughter, Tomika Jones of Miami, Florida; her sister, Sue Beard of Newport; her brothers-in-law, Delbert Lucas of Newport and Wayne Beard of Newport; her close friends, Sarah Cooper of Newport, Leslie Brock of Conway and Heather Bolden of Weiner; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her love and care extended to her pets, Cassidy, Cruella, and Marshmallow, who were her constant companions and brought her endless joy.
Family and friends will gather in her honor and share the many happy memories she created from 5:00-7:00 on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
