Kathryn Eileen (Thomas) Smith, 77, departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on September 14, 1948, the daughter of Orvil and Edith (Aston) Thomas and they preceded her in death.
Kathryn married her sweetheart on May 30, 1965, Jimmie R. Smith and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his passing on February 24, 2022. She was also preceded by two sons: Sean Alan Smith in 1978 and Thomas Ray Smith in 2008.
Kathryn was a Harrisburg High School graduate, a homemaker, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Tony Lynn Smith, two sisters: Polly (Jim) West of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Dorotha (John) King of Harrisburg, Arkansas, 5 grandchildren: Dillon (Kelsey) Smith, Hannah Jones, Seana Smith, Preston Smith, Braydon Smith, and 6 great-grands.
A Memorial Service will be held, on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00 A. M. at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Dalton Mills conducting the service. Cremation has been chosen as the final disposition. A lunch will be served in the Family Life Center following the service. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home
