Multiple area fire departments responded to a fire at an airplane hangar at the Batesville Regional Airport on Tuesday morning.
According to Airport Manager Justin Thompson, the fire broke out in the 7 a.m. hour
Firefighters remained on the scene until about 10:15 a.m. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
The hangar, which was owned by the airport, contained a plane at the time of the fire. There is no word yet on whether the aircraft can be salvaged, but it did not catch fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
