Judy Helen Richardson, 82, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Judy was born on July 25, 1942, in Stone County, Arkansas to the late James and Jessie (Patrick) Roper. Judy retired after many years of dedicated operation as an administrative assistant. She also dedicated several years as the treasurer of Desha First Baptist Church where she was a faithful and loyal member as well. Judy will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Judy is lovingly survived by her children James (Cindy) Richardson and Jennifer (James) Barnes; two sisters, Irene (Ed) Jolley and Martha (Rex) Blackwell; three grandchildren Bethany (Jon) Reasoner, Carlie (Austin) Robinson and Jayce Barnes; one great-grandchild, Madeline Reasoner; along with many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jessie (Patrick) Roper and her loving husband of 57 years, Keith Glen Richardson.

Judy was the proud daughter of a farming family in Stone County. She and Keith were married for 57 years at the time of Keith’s passing. They had a very respected marriage and enjoyed doing many things together such as home projects, going to the beach, church and fire department activities and most of all, loving time with their children and grandchildren. Judy adored her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter and was known to be of the spoiling type toward them. Judy was multi-talented and could sew anything, decorate beautiful cakes and cook delicious meals. She stayed up to date with the latest technology, hairstyles and fashion and had a great sense of humor. She also loved spending time with her sister who meant so much to her for their life-long deep connection, lots of laughter and great times. Judy’s best friend, Sandra Cullins and her daughter, Toi McMullin, have a very special place in our hearts as they have made many memories and always been there for our mother and for us even until her last breath was drawn. Of special blessing to Judy over the last couple of years was the deep devotion of care, love and friendship from Debbie Williams, Lisa Edgin and Jill Adams. Judy was a wonderful person who was always there when needed, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. Judy liked to live by the Golden Rule and it seemed to prove well for her by the outpouring of kindness and love she has been shown.
