The Mountain View Iris Festival volunteers will host the 7th Annual Iris Festival May 2-3, 2025 while many tall bearded iris varieties are in bloom. The Mountain View Iris Festival is a non-profit in the State of Arkansas and our mission is to cultivate and preserve varieties of the tall bearded iris. Volunteers sell iris varieties and fund beautification projects within the community. The projects involve all ages and a multigenerational bond is also grown while we are gardening. We adhere to a principle of celebrating the talents, purpose, and potential of others. Thankfully, a major by-product is the community’s adoration of the beautiful tall-bearded iris blooms.
Festival event dates and times may be found at www.mountainviewirisfest.com. Events include an iris show and photo contest, children painting iris (materials provided), and Carousel Organ Association of America playing the “happiest music on earth” at the courthouse square. Bands appear Friday evening on the courthouse stage, followed by the ever-popular street dance on Saturday evening on the square. Be sure to visit the Arkansas Craft School and chat with “The Crazy Quilters of Mountain View” as they show quilts of beautiful colors and imagery. Little Rock’s Team Posse Corvettes will host the Corvette and Hot Rod Show on Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm. Proceeds from the event are donated to Blue Line Outreach of Mountain View.
In addition to events on the square, look to our walking park on Webb Street to provide an outdoor experience for youth called Comfort Zone/Kids Zone. The comfort zone is a place for youth and adults who enjoy outdoor activities. Families have been delighted with the many opportunities for all ages to participate in games, hands-on projects, planting of iris, and more. It provides a zone where folks may unplug, communicate, and participate in the best nature has to offer. Please consider a small donation to build on plans for new activities.
Mountain View Iris Festival funds are raised from sales of tall bearded iris. We sell our iris on Friday and Saturday mornings from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. We will be on hand to answer questions and assist iris friends in iris gardening. We have experienced the best in our visitors from Arkansas and surrounding states.
