Jerry Ruel Treadway, 62, passed away on February 4, 2025, at home in Batesville, AR. He was born on May 24, 1962, in Batesville, AR, to the late Woodrow Treadway Jr. and Leda Mae (Blevins) Treadway. Jerry was a US Army veteran and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He did two active tours of duty during his time in the Army and won medals of valor doing so. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and loved to give his mother-in-law a hard time. Jerry loved riding motorcycles until he was no longer able to due to ALS. He also enjoyed target shooting. He came to know God later in life, but he embraced Him wholeheartedly and loved Him the same way. He was a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ.
Jerry is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Cindy (Shilts) Treadway; son, Jerrod Scott Treadway (Kristen); daughter, Kari ReAnn Johnston (DJ); seven grandchildren, Jackson, Zaine, Kaden, Kayah, Barry, Ash, and Mac; brothers, Steven David Treadway and Jason Wade Blevins; and sisters, Peggy McTigue and Laura Patterson. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Woodrow Treadway Sr. and Goldie Treadway; maternal grandparents, Ruel and Ermal Blevins; parents; son, Barry Lynn Treadway; brother, Berry Scott Treadway; and father-in-law, Bill Shilts.
There will be a visitation held at Willis Funeral Service on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 5 PM until 7 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Steve Smith, will be at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Friday, February 7, 2025, beginning at 11 AM. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Lloyd, Tim Wilson, Benson Hardaway, and Collie Shaw.
