Betty Sue McBride, 83, of Southside, died on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Southside. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 1, 1941, to Frank Malcolm Anderson and Tillie Josephine High Myers.

Betty and David Lloyd McBride were married in Memphis on June 22, 1963, and they enjoyed over fifty-eight years of marriage until his death on October 22, 2021.

Betty taught school in the Memphis City School District for several years until she became a mother. At that time her desire was to take care of her children.  She was a very happy homemaker who loved to cook, bake and sew. One of her favorite baking desserts was her persimmon muffins.

She had a deep love for the Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation as she cared for the elderly and family members as well as members of her beloved congregation.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Amy Suellen McBride, of Southside; her son, John David McBride, of Southside; her sister, Pat (Danny) Powell, of Mountain View, Arkansas; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
