On December 8th, 1956 she married Henry A. May at the age of 15. They had been married for 68 years when she passed away.
Erma Lea was a Christian woman of the Baptist faith. She loved all her family. She spent all her time with her husband, kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and friends.
Her occupation was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed riding the four-wheeler, camping with her husband Henry and friends, loved going to yard sales or flea markets, and reading. Her family and friends will greatly miss her. May she rest in peace.
Erma Lea was preceded in death by her husband, Henry May; parents, Alma and Clarence Corter; brothers, JC Corter, Hershel Corter, and Virgil Corter; grandsons, Dalton May, Dillon May, and Logan Winslow.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Johnny May, Timmy (Charma) May, Danny (Vanessa) May; two brothers, Junior Corter and Charlie Corter; grandchildren, Johnathan, Crystal, Joseph, Jessie, Jina, Jaxson, Robin, Melissa, Derek May, Samantha Meredith, Darcy Moser, Danielle May, Sierra Winslow, Austin Winslow, along with 32 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday, February 24th, 2025, beginning at 3:00 pm, at the Fifty-Six Cemetery. Brother Truman Bullard will officiate the service.
