Motorists in Batesville should prepare for traffic flow disruptions beginning next month as construction commences on the city’s new water treatment facility.
The first major disruption will involve closing a portion of Chaney Drive beginning March 4, weather permitting.
According to TOLM Group officials, the project’s contractor, the road will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until the phase is completed.
“We will work diligently with the City of Batesville and the public to minimize these disruptions,” a TOLM Group spokesperson said. “Unfortunately, they will be necessary.”
Company officials noted that the schedule remains tentative due to weather conditions that could affect construction timelines.
