Rick Howard of Amagon, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born July 29, 1950, in Newport, the son of Gus and Louise (Koettel) Howard.
Mr. Howard graduated from Newport High School in 1968. After high school, he joined the Arkansas National Guard and began his career as a farmer. He worked alongside his family at Tri-Farms until his retirement in 2014.
Mr. Howard was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who loved hunting. He also enjoyed watching NFL football and wrestling. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family.
Mr. Howard was a member of the Midway Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ray Howard; a nephew, one great-nephew; one sister in law, and his parents.
Mr. Howard is survived by one brother; two sisters; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Midway Church of Christ, with interment at Balch-Johnston Cemetery.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
