Joyce Geraldine (Snyder) Hutson, 91, of Newport, passed from this life on February 27, 2025. She was born in Jonesboro on January 22, 1934, to Elmer and Irene Snyder.
Joyce was a woman of faith and a devoted member of the Holden Avenue Church of Christ. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, always keeping her mind sharp by playing Bridge and working on puzzles. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and took great pride in her yard, spending countless hours tending to her plants and ensuring everything was well cared for.
Joyce was known for her kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her dedication, strength, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Snyder; and her husband, Linzel Hutson.
She is survived by his sons, Mark Hutson of Greenwood, Mississippi, and Dean Hutson of Cookville, Tennessee; her sister, Wilma Heffington of Newport; her grandchildren, Dustin Hutson, Amanda Hutson, Madison Hutson Combs, Morgan Hutson, and Conner Hutson; six great grandchildren Corbett, Fairlee, Hurley, Joy Benét, Presley and Anna Cate; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
