Steven Paul Dodd, Sr. of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the age of 69. He was born January 10, 1956 in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Theodore “Sonny” and Della (Kramer) Dodd.
Mr. Dodd worked in construction until his retirement, but was a jack of all trades. He loved woodworking, collecting rare pennies, and spending time in his man cave while kicked back and watching westerns. Mr. Dodd was an avid outdoorsman and above all, he cherished the memories he made with his family while camping and fishing.
Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his son, Steven Paul Dodd, Jr.; his daughter, Dawn Kriebel; two brothers, Roger Dodd and Rudy Dodd; a sister, Glenda Turns; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Melissa Michelle (Sutton) Dodd, of the home; his son, James Dutcher and wife, Jennifer, of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Nyree Tabaka and husband, Tony, of Weston, Missouri and Anita Dodd of Swifton; a brother, Dwain Dodd of Swifton; a sister, Sandra Eidemiller and husband, Donald, of Lenexa, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Jessica Ryan and husband, Will, Kevin Amos and wife, Noel, Lacey Farrow, Hannah Dutcher, Kara Bellar and husband, Paul, Kyle Tabaka, Michelle McGuire and husband, Justin, and Sean MaGee; eight great-grandchildren; an “adopted” son, Bobby Bogard of Dexter, Missouri; and a lifetime of friends.
