A Silver Alert for a 95-year-old Mountain Home woman was canceled Wednesday after a body and her vehicle were found on Little Rock Air Force Base property, police said.
Mountain Home Police Chief Eddie Griffin told local media outlet KTLO that a maintenance crew discovered Belva Day’s car Tuesday afternoon in a ravine in a remote area of the base in Jacksonville.
The body found in the vehicle was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy and identification, Griffin said.
Day’s vehicle was last seen on Feb. 6.
