Strong winds complicated firefighting efforts early Wednesday, resulting in the destruction of the Pinewood Cabins Motel on Evans Street in Mountain View, local fire officials reported.
The Mountain View Area Fire Department was dispatched at 4:42 a.m. and responded with three engines and a brush truck.
Eleven firefighters responded and prevented the fire from spreading to three adjacent cabins, which sustained no damage.
As of 9 a.m., fire department personnel remained on scene, monitoring the ongoing fire. The origin of the fire is under investigation.
