Cave City
Floy Gean Masner (Hastings) of Cave City, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on March 8th, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born October 3rd, 1935, in Cave City, the daughter of Johnny and Mildred Hastings (Montgomery). She loved her family and working in her flower and vegetable garden.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cave City. She attended Cave City School, and throughout her career, she worked as a teacher’s aide in Sullivan and Thayer, Missouri. She owned and operated the Dream House in Cave City for 32 years.
Floy was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Mildred Hastings; one son, Shan Masner; one daughter, Alma Masner; one brother, Glen Hastings; and one infant sister, Alma Hastings.
She is survived by her loving husband of more than 70 years, Tommie Masner; one son, Douglas Masner (Debbie); one daughter, Joe Ann Baxter; one daughter-in-law, Lourie Masner; three brothers, Donald Hastings, Jeral Hastings (Judy), and Dean Hastings (Jeannie); and three sisters, Katherine Musick Brown, Brenda Simmons (Donald), and Patricia Turnbough (Ed), all of Cave City.
She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Alaina Grammer (Eddie), Michael Foley (Mariessa), Tina Bruce (Austin), and Kurt Masner (Abbey); as well as ten great-grandchildren: Garrett McSpadden (Whitney), Marina Balser (Stephen), Jaimie Low (Tyler), Matthew McSpadden (Angelica), Austin Grammer, Olivia Rider (Clayton), Alissa Foley, Aria Bruce, Charlotte Masner, and Gunner Masner.
Additionally, she is survived by eight great-great-grandchildren: Max McSpadden, Miles McSpadden, Ella McSpadden, Sterling Balser, Liam Low, Lux McSpadden, Suede McSpadden, and Bellamy Rider; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 10, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until service time.
Burial will follow in the Maxville cemetery in Cave City.
