Catherine Marie Hollowell, 77, of Batesville, departed this life on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Batesville. She was born on August 14, 1947, in Marianna, Arkansas, to Ruben Thomas and Edna Main Thomas.
Catherine was a beautician during her working years. She loved to read and found much enjoyment in going on Florida trips with her family. She was a people person and would always have a smile on her face which made others feel comfortable around her. She was a Christian and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Doug Strother, of Floral; her sisters, Sharon Buchanan, Cathy Rudick, both of Batesville, and Angie (Ronnie) Tarrants, of Southside; her grandchildren, Jeff, Dylan, Destin, Ruben, Mason, Chad, and Brittney; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her bonus father, Raymond Fletcher; two daughters, Shelia Karnes and Vickie Hollowell; and three sisters, Ruby Farrell, Lou Graham, and Nita Smart.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.
