
Several key highways in Independence County have reopened after recent closures, according to the Independence County Sheriff’s Office.
Highway 69 from Batesville to Newport is now open to traffic, along with Highway 122 between Highways 69 and 14. Additionally, Highway 14 from Batesville to Oil Trough has reopened.
Despite the progress, officials said some routes remain impassable. Highway 37 at Elgin remains closed, as does Highway 14 from Oil Trough to Newport.
