The 2018 Red Hot Ladies Luncheon was held today in Independence Hall at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
The luncheons are intended to raise awareness about issues impacting the lives of women, and inspire them to make positive changes and commit to a healthy lifestyle. About 300 women were expected to attend the festive affair, which includes a popular silent auction.
Since 2006, this series of popular ladies events have raised about $110,000 in support for various non-profit organizations that serve the health-related needs of women and their families in Batesville, Independence County, and surrounding communities.
This year’s luncheon proceeds will benefit Family Violence Prevention Inc. For more than 30 years, Family Violence Prevention has assisted individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse and sexual assault to choose options, and to control their own lives by providing crisis intervention and a full range of support services.
