Human bones (remains) found earlier this year on Jamestown Loop in Independence County have been identified by the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
It was on May 3 that a piece of human bone was located on Jamestown Loop. The Independence County Sheriff’s Department was called to the property, and a search with cadaver dogs was conducted with more remains being located. The remains were then sent to the State Crime Lab for identification.
Sheriff Shawn Stephens said this morning that the remains found are those of Dustin Couch. He had been reported missing on July 17, of 2017 and had frequented the Jamestown Loop area.
