The Stone County man who was accused of sexual indecency with a child has been charged in Stone County Circuit Court. (Click here for the original story.)
Holly Meyer, prosecuting attorney for the 16th judicial district, filed the charges Friday, Aug. 3.
Court information says over the course of approximately 14 months, the minor, under the age of 16, and the man charged, 38-year-old Timothy McCrobie, had developed a relationship involving phone calls and text messaging.
The court record says McCrobie stated that during the time in which he was involved with the minor, some of the phone calls involved having phone sex.
Then, during the night of July 10, 2018, court info says McCrobie exposed himself to the minor female in a public setting after the lights were turned off at a softball game at the Stone County Sports Complex.
The court also placed a “No Contact Order” on McCrobie. He is ordered not to have contact, either directly or indirectly, by person, telephone, or any other means, with the minor or any member of the immediate family.
McCrombie was arrested and placed in jail on a $15,000 bond.
