Led by the scoring of Abby Hurley and Bret Gardner, the Batesville Junior High girls basketball team won the District 4A-3 Tournament Championship over the weekend in Southside.
Hurley scored 11 points and Gardner finished with 10 to lead all scorers in the 34 to 32 victory over Valley View.
The team also clinched a conference co-championship with Valley View. The Batesville junior high squad ended its season with an overall record of 22-4.
