The Southerners’ offense was firing on all cylinders Friday night beating the Lonoke Jackrabbits 48-21 for a homecoming win at Stewart field moving to 2-1 in conference play.
The Southerners opened the scoring early in the first quarter with an eight-play 51-yard drive capped off with a 5-yard touchdown run by Brayden Jones.
A 26 yard run by Brendan Frazier put the Southerners up 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Touchdowns by Alex Palmer and Kilynn Dugger made it 28-0 at the half.
Brayden Jones tacked on two more touchdowns in the third quarter before adding a fourth touchdown with a little over three minutes to play to wrap up the win for the Southerners.
The Southerners travel to Little Rock to take on the Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs next Friday, Oct. 18.
