Bernell Cole, 96 of Sidney died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019. She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Sidney, Arkansas to Ward Webster and Alma Ford Croft. She was a retired CNA having worked at the Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Don Cole; two brothers, Spellman Croft and Henry Croft and three sisters, Billie Horn, Kay Goodman, and an infant sister.
Survivors include one son, Ward “Sonny” Cole (Faye); one daughter, Donna Goddard; one sister, Janta Downing all of Sidney; five grandchildren, Joey Qualls (Rachell) of Cave City, Kim Arnold of Sidney, Dedra Thompson of Batesville, Sherry Davis of Southside and Jermey Qualls (Ivy) of Cleveland, Alabama; 12 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Boyce Gale Johnson officiated. Burial followed in the Yeager Cemetery located at Needmore.
Pallbearers will be Joey Qualls, Jermey Qualls, Arron Satterwhite, Brandon Qualls. Caleb Qualls and Justin Barr.
Honorary pallbearers are Trey Thompson, Steven Lang, Colton Marlin, Robbie Crossfield, Zachary Qualls, Kevin Jones, and Josh Landers.
