Frankie Rae Smith, 93, of Batesville, Arkansas died Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Mountain Meadows.
Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Clayton, New Mexico, she was the daughter of Ray Weckel and Aftina (Roberts) Weckel.
Frankie was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesville for 60 years. She attended Eastern New Mexico University and was a past member of the Board of Arkansas Cosmetology. Frankie loved her family especially her grandchildren, her church and God. She enjoyed making people smile and her donut shop.
She is survived by her son, John E. Smith III (Vanessia) of Batesville; four grandchildren, Blake Smith (Haley) of Batesville, Ashley Anne Lightner (Matt) of Bella Vista, Jessica Spohr (Jeremy) of Batesville and Brad Fletcher of Memphis, Tennessee; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 71 years, John E. Smith Jr.
A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Batesville will Rev. Stacy Reed officiating.
