Mountain View Yellowjackets sting the Marshall Bobcats Tuesday night

On Tuesday night at Marshall High School, Kaedn Henderson hit a three pointer at the buzzer to give the Yellowjackets an exciting 50-47 victory over the Marshall Bobcats. 

It was the second night in a row for the Yellowjackets to hit a three pointer at the buzzer for a victory. 

Mountain View trailed 38-33 going into the fourth quarter, but out scored Marshall 17-9 in the fourth for the win. 

Brayden Scribner led the Yellowjacket offense with 23 points and eight rebounds, Henderson added 10 points and J’Air Jackson seven points. 

The Yellowjackets improved to 6-3 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. 

The Lady Yellowjackets started the night off with 74-51 victory over the Lady Bobcats. Mountain View’s offense struggled to get going in the first half, going the first five minutes of the second quarter without a point and trailing 14-13. 

After that the Lady Yellowjackets outscored the Lady Bobcats 60-38 the rest of the way for the victory. 

Josie Storey led the way with 33 points, Aubrey Isbell had 13 points, Chaelann Vickers and Emry Johnson each added eight points and Kennedy Holland had 10 rebounds. 

The Lady Yellowjackets improved to 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
