The city of Batesville and Independence County have released their trash pickup schedules for the holiday week.
Batesville officials note trash will be picked up this week except for Christmas day. All other trash pickup days will be delayed by one day.
If your trash is normally picked up on Wednesday, it will now be picked up on Thursday, while Thursday’s trash will be picked up on Friday. And Friday’s trash routes will be run on Saturday in Batesville.
Independence County Judge Robert Griffin said this (Tuesday) morning that Wednesday’s trash route in the county will not run. That trash will be picked up the following Wednesday, Jan. 1.
