Brenda (Hendrix) Knight Winston of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at the age of 68.
She was born Dec. 19, 1951, in Newport, the daughter of Vernon and Agnes (Swan) Hendrix.
Winston was a homemaker, who took great pride in taking care of her home. She loved taking care of animals, and her friends and family. Mrs. Winston was an avid crafter, as well.
She married Gerald Winston, Jr., and together they spent 26 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. Winston, Jr.; four brothers, Clifton, Clifford, Woody, and Oscar Hendrix; and her parents.
Winston is survived by two sons, Michael Douglas O’Neal Knight, Jr., of Tuckerman, and William Douglas Winston of Tuckerman; three daughters, Michell Ann Rodgers, and husband, John, of Tuckerman, Brittany Renee Winston of Tuckerman, and Megan Marie Morales and husband, Marco, of Diaz; one step-son, Jerry Winston of Batesville; one step-daughter, Michele Winston of Heber Springs; two brothers, Garland Hendrix,and wife, Mary, of Tuckerman, and Albert Hendrix and wife, Billie, of Tuckerman; ten grandchildren, Casey Lingle, John Rodgers, III, Ray Rodgers, Brayden Cline, Michael Knight III, Dakota Cline, Monica Knight, Mia Knight, Ashley Rodgers, and Rachel Rodgers; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; her special cousins, Debbie Hendrix, Linda Altom, and Pat Looney; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were Friday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Albert Hendrix, Albert Hendrix, Jr., Clifford Hendrix, Michael Knight, Jr., Marcus Hendrix, and Marco Morales. Honorary pallbearers are Garland Hendrix, William Winston, Barry Hendrix, Cheyenne Hendrix, and John Rodgers, III.
