The Melbourne Bearkatz looked to continue their winning ways on the road Tuesday night, traveling to Monette to take on the Buffalo Island Mustangs.
The Lady Katz got things started and were on fire from the field, scoring 22 points in the first quarter and allowing just two, allowing the team to cruise to an easy 59-19 victory.
Jenna Lawrence led the way with 18 points and Kenley McCarn added 13.
In the nightcap, the Bearkatz looked to extend their six-game win streak against a tough Mustang team.
The teams traded blows throughout the first half, and while the Katz led by as many as eight points, BIC closed the deficit to 26-23 at the half.
The halftime speech motivated the Katz, and they responded quickly, outscoring the Mustangs 44-14 in the second half, coasting to a 70-37 win.
Layton Hennings led the way with 13 points, Riley Clairday added 12.
