The Lady Pioneers took on a good Pea Ridge team on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the 4A State Tournament in Farmington.
Batesville joins the final eight teams remaining by defeating the Lady Blackhawks 65-44.
Sluggish shooting kept the score low through the first half as both teams struggled to find their shot.
At the intermission, the score was 25-19 and at the end of the third, it was 38-34.
The Lady Pioneers never trailed in the game and Junior Izzy Higginbottom dominated at the charity stripe.
Izzy went 11/11 and finished leading all other scores with 30 points plus added six steals and five assists.
Her passing allowed the Lady Pioneers to seal the deal and join the remaining four teams in the 4A girls bracket.
Junior Kaylee Clark came very close to a double-double with 11 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Taylor Rush added 10 points and three assists.
Batesville won their 30th game of the season and will move on to play the host team, the Farmington Lady Cardinals for a chance to play for the title on Saturday at Noon.
